Kris Aquino Opens Up About 11 Illnesses & Life in a Wheelchair

KRIS AQUINO – Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has once again opened up about her ongoing health struggles, revealing she has been diagnosed with two more illnesses and is now reliant on a wheelchair.

Kris Aquino continues her battle with multiple autoimmune diseases as she recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with two more illnesses. In a candid update on Instagram, Kris opened up about the severe toll her condition has taken on her physical health, even sharing that she is now dependent on a wheelchair and must relearn how to walk.

The update began with Kris sharing that her youngest son is on the road to recovery: “Bimb’s finally healthy after having a bad case of the stomach flu.” However, the actress and television host admitted that she herself is in deep pain because of her rheumatoid arthritis. “The typhoon made my rheumatoid arthritis HURT so much (it’s hard to explain the other autoimmune diseases I have as well as the 2 recently diagnosed diseases because of my multiple autoimmune diseases),” she shared.

Despite her condition, Kris remains in touch with her followers. She even engaged in a Q&A session with her son Bimby, asking fans to interact respectfully. “Let’s have fun. Bimb will soon take over my IG (with me checking before he posts). Get to know us because we are very different people now. At 11PM, we’ll answer the questions we find intriguing and worth answering. Walang bastusan, please?”

Kris also mentioned that Bimby will handle her social media presence moving forward. “I think you will like watching the 6’2 male version of me because he’s more down to earth, athletic, and super charming to all.”

Currently, Kris is staying in a peaceful seaside location. “This place is very peaceful and living where I get fresh sea air and listen to the waves was always my dream. Too bad I am now wheelchair bound… I still need to learn how to walk again,” she revealed.

She admitted she is no longer the same person due to her long struggle with illness. “That’s the problem — I’m not the same me and I want to give all of you the KRIS you deserve.”

Kris disclosed she now has “9 primary autoimmune diseases, #10 is a result of the 9, and I have an 11th disease that came about because of my lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren’s, and a few of my other autoimmune diseases.”

Yet her love for her children keeps her going. “I love my sons and they aren’t ready to lose me — especially Bimb who just turned 18.”
