Harry Roque Challenges PH Government Anew: “Come and get me”
Duterte’s Former Spox Harry Roque Asked Why PH Gov’t Yet To Arrest Him
HARRY ROQUE – The former presidential spokesman is challenging the Philippine government to get him amid an arrest warrant against him.
Former presidential spokesman Roque is now faced with an arrest warrant issued by a local court in Pampanga over his alleged involvement to the Philippine Offshore Gaming operations. However, he is currently in The Hague, Netherlands.

The Department of Justice or DOJ previously admitted that the arrest warrant against Harry Roque cannot be immediately served. He is currently an asylum seeker in The Netherlands.
According to Roque, as an asylum seeker in The Netherlands, he allegedly cannot be deported while the application process is ongoing and it may take up to one year and a half. Despite it, the Justice department previously confirmed preparing the documents needed to request for an Interpol Red Notice to the International Criminal Police Organization.

The Department of Justice also admitted taking efforts for the cancellation of the passport of Harry Roque. However, the DOJ also previously claimed receiving a report that Roque has three (3) passports. Recently, the former presidential spokesman recalled it as he tagged a new claim of Justice Sec. Boying Remulla as fake news.

DOJ chief Boying Remulla claimed that Roque’s asylum bid was allegedly denied by the Dutch government based on the report he got. He also claimed that the former spokesman is in Germany.
Harry Roque immediately denied the claim that his asylum bid in The Netherlands got denied. According to him, the DOJ Secretary already has two strikes in allegedly spreading false information about him. He cited Remulla’s first claim that he has three (3) passports as allegedly the first fake news about him from the Justice Secretary.
Roque confirmed that he went to Germany but clarified that it was to administer the oath of the members of the Hakbang ng Maisug Germany. He also tagged the DOJ Chief’s claim that his asylum bid got denied as another fake news.
Recently, former presidential spokesman Harry Roque spoke anew on the Philippine government still not being able to get him amid an arrest warrant against him. Based on a report on PhilStar, he mocked the “intelligence” of the government.
“Come and get me. How come they have yet to get me? Their intelligence is laughable as their intelligence is really wrong,” Duterte’s former spokesman told One News.
Based on the report, Roque also claimed that his passport is still with the Dutch authorities. According to him, there is only one Visa required in the Schengen area and his visa is valid for a year. He stressed that as an asylum seeker, as long as he will not leave the Schengen area, there is allegedly no violation.
Amid an arrest warrant against him and the government’s move to secure an Interpol Red Notice, Roque reiterated that he cannot be deported while he is an asylum seeker.
Manila, Philippines —
In a stunning and defiant public statement, former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has openly challenged the Philippine government to arrest him, sparking a new wave of controversy amid ongoing investigations and rising political tension.
“Come and get me,” Roque reportedly declared at a press gathering on Tuesday, in response to rumors and reports suggesting that formal charges may soon be filed against him for his alleged involvement in undisclosed financial irregularities during the Duterte administration.
Roque, known for his combative tone and unapologetic loyalty to former President Rodrigo Duterte, further questioned why authorities have yet to take action against him — despite what he calls “months of media leaks and government posturing.”
🚨 THE CHALLENGE: BOLD OR BRAZEN?
“They’ve been talking about an arrest for months. What are they waiting for?” Roque said, adding,
“If they have the evidence, they know where I live. I won’t hide. But don’t expect me to stay quiet.”
The remarks have been met with both applause from his loyal base — and alarm from government watchdogs and legal experts, who see this as a calculated provocation against the current administration.
⚖️ WHAT’S HE BEING LINKED TO?
While no formal charges have been publicly filed as of this writing, Roque is allegedly being investigated for:
Undisclosed financial transactions tied to pandemic-era contracts
Alleged conflict of interest during his time as Duterte’s spokesperson and legal counsel
Possible obstruction in ongoing international human rights inquiries
Though Roque denies all allegations, recent hearings in both the Senate and COA investigations have hinted at deeper inquiries involving multiple former Cabinet members.
🧨 POLITICAL RAMIFICATIONS: ROQUE VS. THE STATE
This bold move marks the latest chapter in an intensifying post-Duterte era battle, as allies of the former president either distance themselves quietly or double down publicly, as Roque has now done.
“This is political persecution dressed up as legal action,” Roque claimed.
“And I won’t be their scapegoat.”
Analysts believe Roque’s daring statement is not just a legal counterpunch, but a political maneuver aimed at galvanizing pro-Duterte supporters who feel increasingly marginalized under the current administration.
🏛️ PALACE RESPONSE: “LET THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE”
When asked for a response, Malacañang released a short but firm statement:
“Mr. Roque is not above the law. If and when charges are filed, appropriate action will follow. The legal process cannot and will not be dictated by public taunts.”
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla also confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and that no one — including former Palace officials — would be shielded from accountability if evidence warrants prosecution.
📣 PUBLIC REACTIONS: A NATION DIVIDED
Social media exploded in reaction to Roque’s comments, with netizens, legal scholars, and activists weighing in:
🔺 Supporters said:
“Roque is right — if they have something, bring it. If not, stop the trial by media.”
“He’s not afraid. That’s more than can be said for others.”
🔻 Critics blasted him:
“Classic arrogance. This is how the powerful think they’re untouchable.”
“Defiance isn’t proof of innocence. Let the courts decide.”
Hashtags like #ComeAndGetMe, #HarryRoqueChallenge, and #JusticeForAll trended nationally.
🧠 EXPERTS: ‘THIS IS A DANGEROUS GAME’
Political analysts warn that Roque’s challenge could backfire — either by accelerating charges or making him appear desperate.
“He may be daring the government into action, but this isn’t a TV debate. It’s a legal arena,” said Prof. Ramon Javier of UP National College of Public Administration.
🕯️ FINAL THOUGHT: DEFIANCE OR DISTRACTION?
Whether Harry Roque is genuinely unafraid — or strategically deflecting from an imminent legal blow — his “Come and get me” remark will go down as one of the boldest challenges ever thrown at a sitting government by one of its former insiders.
“They want a show? Let’s give them one,” Roque reportedly added.
The ball is now in the government’s court — and the nation watches as truth, power, and justice collide.
